Been a very long while since I have written a drama review I feel (sweat). Recently been so addicted to radio shows I seldom listen to drama (T.T). Anyway, this CD is very funny because the majority of seiyuu here (except Hamada san) are DO---S, haha. Unfortunately they didn't excel their S power in the freetalk (T_T). Mamoru-kun [ the guy with the red tie in the cover pic] (CV: Suzumura Kenichi) is a hero otaku. He loves to watch all those hero shows, that's because when he was young, he was bullied by some older students. Just when they were about to take his money, a hero appeared and rescued him. Since then he admired heroes and became a hero otaku. He waited till he's old enough to apply for the Hero Academy and the first story is about the examination for admittance. Also at the examination are four other candidates: Shin [the guy with glasses] (CV: Yusa Kouji), Hitoshi [the guy with the yellow T-shirt inside] (CV: Miyata Kouki), Yuukichi [the guy with the pink teddy] (CV: Hamada Kenji), and Okatoumachi-kun [the guy with silver hair] (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi).

Masashi 九曜雅司(CV: Konishi Katsuyuki ) is strong, good-looking and #1 host. However, he has no idea that he will fall in love with a cute worker at a pet store at first sight. The name of the worker is Takahashi Saki 高橋沙希(CV: Yoshino Yukihiro)and he loves animals. He wanted to become a vet but his family is quite poor and he could not afford vet school. So, he worked in a pet store instead but he is still frequently bothered by financial troubles from home.

Masashi then came to the store and confessed to Saki that he liked him and wanted to go out with him *O*! Of course, Saki thought it was a joke or something and was annoyed because Masashi asked how much would it cost to get him. However, Masashi was quite patient and came back day after day. Later, Saki got a phone call from home saying they urgently needed a hundred thousand yen. Saki then thought of Masashi and agreed to go out with Masashi for 100,000 yen! Masashi then brought Saki home and they xxx. However, the next morning, Saki realized that his feelings toward Masashi was beyond what he initially anticipated and he decided he could not trade s*x for money. So, he left Masashi while the latter was still asleep without taking the money. Masashi found it strange that Saki would leave without taking the money. He wondered if Saki liked him just a bit and he talked to his friend and rival at the club Reiji 麗一(CV: Chiba Susumu). At the same time, Hikaru 光(CV:Yusa Kouji ) was jealous of Saki because he liked Masashi but the latter’s attention was fully given to Saki. As a result, he spread rumors so that the customers of Masashi went to the pet shop and made a fuss there. He also went to the pet shop and warned Saki that Masashi’s obsession with him would threaten Masashi’s successful career. As a result, Saki left the petshop to work in a more dodgy pet shop to avoid Masashi. Masashi was nervous as he couldn’t find Saki anywhere. Finally, after a lot of trouble, Masashi found Saki just in time to save him from being sexually harassed by the owner of his new work place. At the same time, Hikaru was also reprimanded for his behavior and being brought away by Reiji ^0^!!

Even though the kanji should read Renai Sousa, the actual title is Renai Control because that’s how it’s romanized. Among the manga I have read lately, this is my favorite manga. This is a link work to Anata no tonari ni suwasarete and though you can understand this story without reading the prequel, it’s HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you read the prequel as well because that will double the fun.

In the prequel, we were introduced to Yamashiro Kei (CV: Narita Ken), an extremely handsome interior designer (with glasses), who was Takamiya Shinjin’s (the furniture designer) close friend. He seemed to have interests in Jin (CV: Ishikawa Hideo) but since Jin already found someone he loved - a cute 19 year-old college student Yoshino Azumi (CV: Shimono Hiro), Yamashiro was left alone with nothing but his work. In the meantime, he was actually working for the owner of a chain restaurant Okumura Takashi (CV: Konishi Katsuyuki). Okumura was interested in Yamashiro since their first meeting but it was not easy to woo a cool beauty as Yamashiro, especially when the latter’s pride could reach the moon (by Shiki (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi), Okumura’s nephew). Okumura tried really hard seducing Yamashiro but the latter did not respond according to his wishes.

Here are a few memorable scenes in the manga:
1) Okumura asked Yamashiro to design his house and so Yamashiro went around the house taking pictures of the layout. When he was done, Okumura was sleeping like a baby. At the lift, Okumura seduced Yamashiro to stay longer but the latter remarked that if Yamashiro were so tired he slept like a baby, maybe he should get some sleep. Then in the lift, he burst into laugher.

2) Okumura kissed Yamashiro for the first time but instead of blushing or looking shocked, Yamashiro just cooly said he thought Okumura’s kissing skills would be better than THAT. Then in the lift, he panicked.

3) In the snow, Okumura was waiting for Yamashiro and finally Yamashiro confessed his true feelings (but still retained his pride).

4) When Yamashiro looked at the glass and saw his own reflection, he suddenly realized how deeply he had fallen in love. He panicked and fled and then started to build up a distance again.

5) The last breakdown when Yamashiro finally confessed all his feelings to Okumura (extremely sweet).

Yuuji (CV: Kamiya Hiroshi) is a tailor for expensive suits. When he was still in high school, he met Takatoshi (CV: Koyasu Takehito), who was then a cute cute child (CV: Miyata Kouki) [my guess ^_^;;]. Yuuji used to take care of Takatoshi, who was 5 years younger and they grew up together. However, when they became adults, Takatoshi outgrew Yuuji in terms of height. Although all grown up on the outside, Takatoshi (now 22) is still a kid inside when he’s with Yuuji and will stick around him. Yuuji is already used to Takatoshi being around but is that love? That doubt leaves Yuuji rather cold to Takatoshi. One day, Yuuji got ill and Takatoshi came over to look after him. Takatoshi then heard Yuuji calling "Youichi". At first Yuuji explained it was the name he gave to a bird he kept in the past but naturally that was a lie. Youichi was the guy Yuuji used to go out with but they already broke up long ago. They met accidentally again one day and Yuuji left his phone with Youichi. So he called Youichi out (along with Takatoshi) and got back the phone but Takatoshi got jealous at Youichi because Youichi said he slept with Yuuji before. So, Youichi forced his way onto Yuuji (who was still uncertain of his feelings). Eventually, though Yuuji began to understand his feelings but he did not feel he would be the best partner for Takatoshi and so he left but he cried on the way home. Takatoshi followed him and saw his tears. Yuuji then confessed and that concluded the first story. There is a side story featuring Youichi as main but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet.
